Paint Booth Update III
I have not update this in some time, but I have been working on some. It’s not done but it works as is. I need to add a few things to make it work better.

I had a hour or so to play with the top of the paint booth. It’s mostly done. I still need to add the lights and wire them and the fans to a switch that easier to get to.
I have a couple of ideas for the sides, so they can fold up and out of the way.
Hope to have more time tomorrow and I’ll take more pictures.
Well I started building a paint/sanding booth. After seeing how much dust was being made just with a wire wheel I decided I needed to do something about it. I’ve wanted to build a paint booth for some time now. So I wanted to do this before I got to far a long in the blazer project. I know you can’t tell much from the pictures, but when done it will be 8′x6′x7′ high.
I read a bunch on some forums about what you need to have. Most of them were talking about painting an entire car. I just want to prime the tailgate and paint the inside of it and will most likely do the same for the doors. As for the rig it self I’ll pain the inside, but I am not going to bring it in to my garage. For one I can’t it’s to tall and even if I could I would have no room to work. So I just plan on when I do the inside of the Blazer to setup fans with filters in the windows to blow air in and out the back.
Anyway the paint booth will be 8′ long by 6′ wide and 7′ tall. I have to 20″ box fans on top that suck air through filters and blows the air down in to the booth (down draft!). I will have a couple of 20″ filter in series a standard fiberglass filter and then a carbon filter, that opens to a vent tube that leads to the outside of the garage. This way I get fresh air coming in and the exhaust air gets most of the fumes removed before venting.
I’ll be adding more pictures as I do more to it.
That’s it for now!
